About Your Teacher, Cindy Sumner

I’ve been quilting since 1991, and it has been my passion ever since. After moving from Connecticut to Utah in 2025, I’m excited to share my love of quilting with a new community. As an avid quilter, I spend at least five days a week in my sewing room creating, learning, and exploring new techniques. I especially enjoy helping others build confidence in their quilting skills and believe every class should be fun, encouraging, and inspiring.

When I’m not quilting, my husband and I love traveling the world together. I earned my college degree in photography, and while my camera doesn’t see as much wedding and portrait photography as it once did, I love using it to capture the beautiful places, people, and experiences we encounter on our travels. Whether I’m behind a sewing machine or behind a camera, I enjoy preserving memories and sharing my creativity with others.
