So yes a few of you have asked about a retreat. So here it is:
September 28—through Oct 3, 2008
Where: Zephyr Point Presbyterian Conference Center Zephyr Cove, Lake Tahoe, Nevada
Cost: $350.00 includes all lodging and food. Yes that is 5 days and 5 nights on beautiful Lake Tahoe lakeside property with all your meals.

On my home page there is a picture of Lake Tahoe, this is the view you can expect on any given evening where you will be staying. Each room can accommodate up to four guests, but we feel that two is good. You can have more if you request. Your linens are included.
What to bring: A surge protector, Your favorite snacks, bring enough to share. If you have a sewing or quilting item that is just laying around that you do not use anymore, please bring it. We are bringing things to raffle off. There will be prizes given away daily. I am collecting them right now, things I see at the shows. Bring old magazines you don’t want any more. There will be a fat quarter exchange, so look through your stash or buy some from your favorite quilt store and bring them to exchange.
Bring your favorite pajamas and slippers. There will be a pajama parade and a prize for the most creative outfit.
Vivienne has been working hard on the two projects that we will be doing. Vivienne and Doris both love those beautiful asian fabrics and these will lend itself well to this project. I myself probably will do this in batiks, so there are a few ideas for you to start with for this project. Some of you have expressed a desire to learn about curves so we will be doing a project out of Elisa Wilson’s book Crazy Curves by Elisa’s Backporch designs. Sew circles the easy way. Using a template, fussy cut those gorgeous fabrics you have been saving and make this easy and quick quilt. I will order the books for you if you need them and you can get a 30% discount on the book and the templates that go with that book . If you have the book bring it and the templates too.
The other project will be a tote bag. Go “green” with blue, meaning lets recycle all those old blue jeans, with this cute tote. You know those totes are becoming ever more popular. So keep an eye here for more instructions and if you are interested make sure you call and reserve your spot. There are only 4 spaces left so please make sure you call soon.
In the future we will have more classes available, so you can add the classes as your funding permits, but this way we can keep the costs down so everyone can come.
