Class Overview: 

Everything you need to know and more is included in this class.  Whether it is pantographs that you need to learn more about, or working from the front of the machine.    This class is guaranteed to increase your base knowledge and level of comfort, while working on your machine.  This is a one on one class with an award winning longarm quilter, in a nice friendly environment. 

 

In the two days you will learn how to:

 

Load a quilt, how to keep it straight, to baste or not to baste. 

Stabilizing a quilt.  What to do with wavey borders.  How to enhance the greatest attributes of a quilt.  You’ll get help on adjusting your tension and balancing thread.  It also includes lessons on batting, needles, thread  and other supplies.  A list of website addresses and suppliers for your longarm business. 

 

Then the practical physical side of the longarm business.

How to make beautiful feathers, hearts, Stars, and other designs.

Continuous line quilting – how to do overall designs from the front of the machine. 

How to use one stencil and no matter what size block you have to create a beautiful continuous line pattern .

We will cover stencils, how to use them, and what to mark them with. 

Special design ideas.

Straight lines

Stitch in the ditch and Julie’s alternatives to stitching in the ditch. 

You will make a sampler quilt you can take home with you for future reference.
